J. Crew - Spring 2012 Collection

I got private access to check out J. Crew’s Spring and Summer Collection for 24 hours, and although I didn’t order anything online (too poor)… I got really inspired by this amazing collection. I uploaded two outfits that I really like and they are really easy to replicate with the pieces that you already own. So, what can we learn from these two looks?
Monochromatic looks amazing, and you can choose a colour that looks best on you i.e. red, pink, or blue. Your top, bottoms and jacket should have a different hue and pattern but are still roughly the same colour.
Mix and Remix Patterns! Check out the second outfit up close, you have black and white polka-dots, and red & blue stripes and it looks so good. Don’t be afraid to mix your own patterns, you can mix a star pattern with polka-dots, mix various thick and thin vertical stripes together, or plaid with stripes, just don’t over think it.
